पवित्र सरस्वती जल / Holy Saraswati Water (Collected at Sri Badrinath Dham)

बद्रीनाथ में स्थित सरस्वती कुंड को ज्ञान और शुद्धि की देवी सरस्वती का पृथ्वी पर रूप माना जाता है। ऋग्वेद, महाभारत और स्कंद पुराण के अनुसार इस जल का एक घूँट लेने से बुद्धि, पाप‑मोचन और मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती है; इसलिए भक्त इस जल को तांबे या चाँदी के छोटे पात्रों में भरकर घर की पूजा में रखते हैं।

At Badrinath, the sacred spring known as Saraswati Kund is revered as the earthly manifestation of the celestial Saraswati, the river of knowledge and purity. Scriptures such as the Rig Veda, Mahabharata and Skanda Purana state that a sip of this water bestows wisdom, cleanses sins and leads to moksha; pilgrims therefore fill small copper or silver vessels to keep on their altars for daily worship.
