In life, to accomplish any task successfully, only desire or hard work is not enough. Proper means or resources (Sādhan) are equally essential. These resources act as the tools and mediums through which a person fulfills their goals and aspirations.

Why are resources necessary?

1. For achieving goals – Without proper means, objectives often remain incomplete. For example, farming requires seeds, water, and tools.

2. To save time and effort – With the right resources, work becomes easier and quicker.

3. To improve quality – Appropriate means help in producing better and long-lasting results.

4. For progress in life – In fields like education, employment, business, and science, proper resources are the foundation of growth.

Examples:

• A student needs books, teachers, and a learning environment as resources for gaining knowledge.

• A soldier requires weapons, discipline, and training to perform his duty.

• In family life, financial resources are essential to meet daily needs.

जीवन में किसी भी कार्य को सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न करने के लिए केवल इच्छा या परिश्रम ही पर्याप्त नहीं होते, बल्कि उपयुक्त साधन (resources / means) भी आवश्यक होते हैं। साधन वह माध्यम हैं जिनकी सहायता से मनुष्य अपने उद्देश्यों और लक्ष्यों को पूरा करता है।

साधन की आवश्यकता क्यों है?

1. लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति हेतु – बिना साधनों के लक्ष्य अधूरा रह सकता है। जैसे – खेती के लिए हल, बीज और जल आवश्यक हैं।

2. समय और श्रम की बचत – सही साधनों के प्रयोग से कार्य आसानी से और शीघ्रता से होता है।

3. गुणवत्ता में वृद्धि – उपयुक्त साधनों से कार्य अधिक उत्कृष्ट और टिकाऊ बनता है।

4. जीवन की प्रगति – शिक्षा, रोजगार, व्यापार, और विज्ञान सभी क्षेत्रों में साधनों का महत्व है।

• विद्यार्थी को ज्ञान प्राप्त करने के लिए पुस्तकें, शिक्षक और वातावरण साधन के रूप में चाहिए।

• सैनिक को अपने कर्तव्य के लिए शस्त्र, अनुशासन और प्रशिक्षण साधन के रूप में चाहिए।

• गृहस्थ जीवन में परिवार की आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करने के लिए आर्थिक साधन जरूरी हैं।
