Introduction:
Shree Chaitanya Bhagwat is one of the most important scriptures of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition. It was composed by Vrindavan Das Thakur in the Bengali language and later translated into many others. The text narrates the divine life, teachings, and miraculous pastimes of Lord Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who is revered as the combined incarnation of Radha and Krishna in the Kali Yuga.

Structure of the Text:
The scripture is divided into three main parts (Khandas):

1. Adi Khanda (The Beginning Part) – Describes the birth of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, his childhood pastimes, his early education, and the initial spreading of devotion.

2. Madhya Khanda (The Middle Part) – Narrates the establishment of Harinam Sankirtan in Navadvipa, his divine activities with devotees, and various miraculous events.

3. Antya Khanda (The Final Part) – Explains Mahaprabhu’s acceptance of sannyas (renounced order), his stay in Jagannath Puri, and his deep loving interactions with devotees.

• The divine purpose of Mahaprabhu’s incarnation (to spread the chanting of the Holy Names in the Kali Yuga).

• The glory and power of the Harinam Sankirtan (congregational chanting of God’s names).

श्री चैतन्य भागवत गौड़ीय वैष्णव संप्रदाय का एक अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण ग्रंथ है, जिसे वृंदावन दास ठाकुर ने रचा था। यह ग्रंथ बंगला भाषा में लिखा गया था और बाद में अनेक भाषाओं में अनुवाद हुआ। इसमें भगवान श्री चैतन्य महाप्रभु के दिव्य जीवन, उनके बाल्यकाल, युवा अवस्था, संन्यास-काल और उनके अद्भुत लीला-चरित्र का वर्णन मिलता है।

ग्रंथ की संरचना :
श्री चैतन्य भागवत तीन खंडों (कांडों) में विभक्त है—

1. आदि खंड – इसमें चैतन्य महाप्रभु के जन्म, बाल्यकालीन लीलाएँ, विद्या अध्ययन और प्रारंभिक भक्ति प्रचार का वर्णन है।

2. मध्य खंड – इसमें नवद्वीप में हरिनाम संकीर्तन की स्थापना, भक्तों के साथ अद्भुत लीलाएँ तथा चमत्कारों का विस्तृत वर्णन मिलता है।

3. अंत्य खंड – इसमें चैतन्य महाप्रभु का संन्यास लेना, जगन्नाथपुरी की लीलाएँ और उनके भक्तों के साथ प्रेममय संबंध का चित्रण है।
