Poojan  
The word Poojan means offering reverence, respect, and devotion to God, deities, saints, or any divine power. It is a spiritual practice performed with both external offerings and internal devotion. The real essence of poojan lies in faith and surrender of the heart.

• Main steps of Poojan:

  1. Avahan (Invocation): Inviting the deity to be present.

  2. Asana (Seat): Offering a symbolic seat.

  3. Padya, Arghya, Achaman: Ritual cleansing by offering water for washing the feet, hands, and sipping.

  4. Gandha, Pushpa, Dhoop, Deep: Offering fragrance, flowers, incense, and lamp.

  5. Naivedya: Offering fruits, sweets, or food.

  6. Aarti: Waving of lamp and incense in reverence.

  7. Prarthana & Kshama-Yachna: Prayers, hymns, and seeking forgiveness for mistakes during the ritual.

Thus, poojan strengthens the bond between the devotee and the divine, symbolizing love, faith, and devotion.

पूजन (Poojan):
‘पूजन’ का अर्थ है – भगवान, देवी-देवता, गुरु या किसी पूजनीय शक्ति का आदर, सम्मान एवं श्रद्धा के साथ आवाहन कर उनकी आराधना करना। पूजन में बाहरी साधन जैसे – धूप, दीप, पुष्प, अक्षत, नैवेद्य आदि का उपयोग होता है, परंतु इसका मूल भाव आंतरिक भक्ति और समर्पण है।

• पूजन के अंग:

  1. आवाहन – देवता को आमंत्रित करना।

  2. आसन – उन्हें बैठने के लिए स्थान देना।

  3. पाद्य, अर्घ्य, आचमन – पूजा के जल से पाद प्रक्षालन, अर्घ्य और आचमन कराना।

  4. गंध, पुष्प, धूप, दीप – सुगंध, पुष्प, धूप और दीप अर्पित करना।

  5. नैवेद्य – फल, मिष्ठान या अन्न अर्पित करना।

  6. आरती – दीपक और धूप से देवता की आरती करना।

  7. प्रार्थना और क्षमा-याचना – अंत में स्तुति, प्रार्थना और की गई भूलों के लिए क्षमा-याचना करना।

पूजन से भक्त और ईश्वर के बीच आत्मिक संबंध प्रगाढ़ होता है। यह साधक की श्रद्धा, भक्ति और आस्था का प्रतीक है
